Our Commitment to Clean

Your well-being is top of mind for Choice Hotels and its thousands of independently owned and operated locations, of which the Clarion Pointe Québec is a member.

The dedication to cleanliness initiative builds on longstanding cleanliness protocols of Choice Hotels and an enhancement of existing programs with guidance developed in response to the pandemic, including recommendations related to deep cleaning, disinfecting, hygiene, and social distancing best practices and protocols.

We have elaborated heightened cleaning protocols for high-traffic areas such as the front desk, fitness centres and pools, as well as other high-touch surfaces throughout the hotel, using disinfectant approved by the Public Health Agency of Canada for combating the spread of COVID-19.

The arrangement of furniture to ensure proper social distancing as recommended by the Health Agency of Canada and a modified breakfast offer featuring prepackaged breakfast options has replaced our buffet.

Our complete approach to infection prevention also includes a close association with Ecolab, who is helping ensure we have the right infection prevention programs and training in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. This includes a new online resource hub available to franchisees, featuring operational best practices, training and resources from Ecolab's industry-leading experts.

Moreover, every Choice-branded hotel must designate a “Commitment to Clean Captain,” each of whom will complete applicable best-in-class cleanliness training and will be responsible for incorporating the new protocols into the hotel's operations.


Housekeeping Upon Request

We’ve redesigned our housekeeping program to promote an uninterrupted stay and give guests more options. Choice-branded hotels are providing housekeeping services upon request for shorter visits and after every third night during longer stays. Guests can call the front desk to request more frequent housekeeping or ask for additional towels, toiletries and linens when needed.
